I found it hard to buy the perfect camera bag. After months of searching, I decided there is not going to be a ‘perfect’ kit bag suited to my needs. And this is what you need to decide. The kit bag will need to tick most of your wants in a bag. I finally stumbled on one and purchased the Lowepro Flipside Sport AW 20L. This bag was built with the adventurer in mind. In my eyes, it is a great bag for day trips. The stylish design and practicality add to the bag’s selling features. Lowepro have a reputation of building quality camera bags so I knew I could trust their name. One of my first bags was a Lowepro shoulder bag. This was enough room for my DSLR and one lens.

Size: 20L but does come in 15L and 10L
Price: 20L – $220, 15L – $185, 10L - $155. If you do a bit of research on Ebay or Amazon, you will be able to pick one up for about half the price.
It's light weight. When all your equipment weighs a bit, its goo to have a light and durable bag.
Straps distribute the weight evenly. The dispersed weight makes the bag feel lighter when carrying a bag full of equipment.
Side pocket for camelback water bladder. A great little addition for those long hikes. I have placed a 2 Litre water bag which fits in nicely.
There are no small pockets for SD cards, filters, extra batteries. Don’t get me wrong, there are pockets and a couple with zips, but these are quite large and you waste a bit of time searching through them.
No quick zip at the top of the bag. This would have been a nice addition to allow quick access from the top. I am not sure if this was for anti-theft or not.
Overall I am pleased with my purchase. The 20L may be a bit big for what I am after at the moment, but I am sure I will be able to fill it when I fork out more money for a new lens.
Itchy Feet Escapades rates the 20L Lowepro Flipside sport 8 out of 10 feet.
