Whitehorse is a town of roughly 27,000 people and is the capital of the Yukon Territory. You will find the downtown area has all the modern facilities and a range of hotels to choose from. There doesn’t seem to be any large hotel chains, which is a good thing as the money stays in the local community. For our stay, we chose the Midnight Sun Inn B&B.
Location: Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada.
Date of Stay: February, 2016.
Price Range: CAD$115-$155
Close to supermarket
Fully stocked kitchen
Lounge to relax in
Had emailed to organise transfer on arrival, no one showed
Strong cooking smell from owners took over the house
There was a sign to encourage environmentally friendly attitude towards washing towels however this was not followed
I would stay here again. The B&B is reasonably priced for the amenities offered. Breakfast was filling and consisted of eggs, toast, cereal and fruit. All of which is help yourself, available all day. The use of a kitchen helped save costs on food and the location is great. It is a two minute walk to the supermarket and a five minute to down town. You do get the chance to bump into other guests in the dining room and lounge room.
Itchy Feet Escapades rates the Midnight Sun Inn B&B 35 out of 40 Itchy Feet.
